mRidgeway Systems developed a product that allowed voice, data and video to traverse a firewall without compromising security. The company wanted to be positioned for acquisition. The interim-CEO was concerned that the company didn’t clearly communicate the value of its product on the corporate website and there wasn’t a clear understanding of what the company’s software actually did. Zephyr was hired to help create a clearer value proposition, website and corporate message. We worked with the CEO in several areas. We helped identify companies in the industry that might be interested in acquiring them. We also worked to understand the value of the Ridgeway Systems and how could it could it be incorporated into another company’s solution. When we began to write and design the website, the data sheets, the messaging for the company itself and the branding, we did it in such a way that our target market would understand the true value of Ridgeway Systems. We created a new website for them and developed a tagline that more clearly defined Ridgeway’s value proposition. Because of our focus on the telecommunications industry, we were also able to provide the CEO with introductions to the various companies in the target market. The end result was that six months after engaging Zephyr, Ridgeway Systems was acquired by Tandberg Corporation and the technology was incorporated into the Tandberg video conferencing solution.
